The legacy of Certified Payroll Associates, Inc. began on July 1, 2002, when Daniel Crowder and his son, Matt Crowder, founded the company with a simple, powerful mission: to simplify payroll and timekeeping for small and medium-sized businesses. Their founding vision was to help companies in the Indianapolis area and beyond confidently navigate dynamic payroll regulations. Matt Crowder
Owner
Matt is a Certified Payroll Professional and a 2002 graduate of Cedarville University (Ohio) with a degree in accounting. He lives in Pittsboro, Indiana, with his wife, Desirée, and their two children. In their free time, he and Desirée enjoy watching their children play sports.
Daniel Crowder
Attorney At Law
Dan is Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and proprietor of a public accounting/legal services firm since 1985. Prior to divesting his accounting practice, Dan and his firm prepared over 1500 income tax returns annually, and processed regular payroll for several dozen employer clients. Dan is a graduate of Indiana University, and he and his wife, Luann, are lifetime Hoosiers.
Michele Patrick
Payroll Processor
Michele joined Certified Payroll Associates, Inc. in 2023, bringing with her years of experience in office management and business ownership, which lend well to her support of clients’ needs. She and her husband reside in Brownsburg, Indiana. In her free time, Michele enjoys her grandchildren, live music, remodeling projects, and anything outdoors.
Linda Renner
Payroll Processor
Linda joined the Certified Payroll Associates, Inc. team in 2013. She and her husband Bill reside in Brownsburg, Indiana.
