Where It All Began -
Founding Our Payroll Company

Certified Payroll Associates, Inc. was established on July 1, 2002, by Daniel A. Crowder and son, Matthew A. Crowder. The business was founded with the ambition of helping small to medium-sized businesses in the Indianapolis area simplify payroll and timekeeping, as well as comply with dynamic payroll regulations. Today, the payroll company boasts 15 years of providing quality, personalized service to their valued customers!

A Certified Payroll Professional, Matt is a 2002 graduate of Cedarville (Ohio) University, majoring in accounting. He and his wife, Desirée, reside in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Daniel A. Crowder

Attorney at Law, Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and proprietor of a public accounting/legal services firm since 1985. Prior to divesting his accounting practice, Dan and his firm prepared over 1500 income tax returns annually, and processed regular payroll for several dozen employer clients. Dan is a graduate of Indiana University, and he and his wife, Luann, are lifetime Hoosiers.

Michele joined Certified Payroll Associates, Inc. in 2023, bringing with her years of experience in office management and business ownership, which lend well to her support of clients’ needs. She and her husband reside in Brownsburg, Indiana. In her free time, Michele enjoys her grandchildren, live music, remodeling projects, and anything outdoors.
